Okay so. I suck at backgrounds, still do, but at least I seemingly make some progress. at them. It was really fun to do, I wish I had more time to spend on it though. Like for the most part I drew it over one evening and then little tidbits stretched forever just because I'm so tired.

Anyway, basically it's based on my dream which was somehow about Hirohito who wasn't really Hirohito but more like Fumimaro Konoe, sort of, and lived in a desolate swamp village in exile, and then empress who was tiny and serious came to him and asked for his help because even despite his lowly nature he was their only hope. And he was really smarmy with her, and sucked up a lot. Weiiiiirrrrdddd.

These critters are basically mixture between sphinx cats and random insects, they are called rinami. Their whole country is basically a fetid cursed swamp, as they are the cursed nation (their insect like appearance is consequence of this curse as well).

I don't know what else to say, time will tell I suck yet again, but so far I'm just happy I really did something with a proper background for once C:

*Атзыч приполз оставить слоупочий комментарий* тут такой фон шикарне, атмосферно и здорово вышло) Очень нравится этот эффект закрывающей ащевсёвдали растительности, она как будто там на склонах каньона растёт или это такой здоровенный лес)
